About the artist:
My art reflects the simple beauty of everyday situations. I have always been interested in the magic and richness of color. I love to bring out the whimsy and heart of a subject, whether it be a scene or someone’s pet.
Animals are my favorite subject, as I have been blessed with the love of many furry companions. I draw what inspires my heart and soul and hope that my art inspires others as well.
I draw simple reminders of the important things in life, whether that be a moment looking out a window or a sunrise over a hill. I also try to add a little humor to my art as in the cat pictures, where some of those crazy cats display their humorous edge.
For many years, I published a cartoon called, The Adventures of Mz. Mouse. My comic strip was published in many local publications, including, The Woman’s Journal, and one national publication, TwinsWorld Magazine. The cartoon strip is where I get my whimsical influence.
I studied art in Seattle and Portland. I have exhibited my art in many and various art shows in Portland, Seattle and California. Here are just a few of the places I have displayed and sold my art:
Bumbershoot, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, The Gresham Art Walk, The American Red Cross, The Oregon Humane Society, Art on Alberta, Portland Open Studios, South Coast Winery, Healthy Pets, FirstThursday in the Pearl, and Lexi Dog.
