Hi again, everybody. I have some exciting news to share with you. My wife Jenny and I are pleased to announce the next step in the growth of Trainer’s Club as a premier fitness facility and a community wellness center.
When Jenny and I acquired Trainer’s Club seven years ago, we had big plans for the club. I am thrilled to say that many of our plans came to fruition and Trainer’s Club has become the community-centered fitness environment that we were hoping to create.
It has taken a lot of work and many sleepless nights to maintain our standards and keep providing our members with a first-class gym and a welcoming and enjoyable environment. It would not be a stretch to say that it’s been a labor of love. I love this job and feel rewarded every day.
We are also aware that our business success has always benefited from the support of our hard-working employees and partners. And while I love what I do, I have come to realize that I am also interested in other parts of the fitness industry. After thoughtful consideration of both these factors I have decided to take a step back and provide the opportunity for trusted employees and partners to take the helm.
We are thrilled to announce that Adam Barron will become General Manager at Trainer’s Club as of December 1. Many of you already know Adam as our Fitness Director and as a personal trainer. What you may not know is that Adam has been at Trainer’s Club more than nine years, longer than Jenny and I have been here.
He is the perfect person to assume this role and we feel very lucky to have Adam ready and willing to step up. He has got some great ideas about improving everything at Trainer’s Club and we feel he deserves the chance to pursue these ideas for the benefit of our members, staff and partners.
Of course, Adam can’t do this by himself. He has assembled a management team to help him, consisting of Sean Massey as Facilities Manager and Lee Chapman as Front Desk Manager. Sean has been here more than three years and Lee joined us 15 months ago.
We are fortunate to have such experienced managers. We are certain that our high standards will be maintained and improved and that our members will experience even better customer service.
Please welcome Adam and his team to this new role and feel free to ask any questions. Just so you know, Jenny and I are not going anywhere. We will remain as owners and continue to manage finances and apparel sales. I expect we will be around the club regularly a few days each week for workouts and to make sure we get to see all our friends at the club.
