Terry is passionate about self-care. She believes that when we are relaxed, our bodies are able to do what they do best, come into complete alignment and homeostasis. Reiki is a simple, yet profound, hands-on treatment that induces relaxation allowing balance and healing on many levels: body, mind and spirit. Terry begins each day with a self Reiki treatment as a form of meditation and centering.
Terry has a B.S. in Health Education and a background in nursing training. She has recently completed massage therapy at the Oregon School of Massage. Terry is a volunteer through Hospice Care of the Northwest, for which she has been visiting clients and providing Reiki for the past three years. She and her partner, Diane Armstrong, taught their first Reiki I and Reiki II classes together in 2009, at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. It was the birth of a new organization based on self-care. Diane and Terry co-founded the East West Reiki Association, a member organization providing training and support to health care providers and to people wanting to learn this simple, elegant healing technique.
