Highly educated in exercise science and professionally trained in dance, Eric Zimmer brings a vast understanding of the body to the arena of Health and Human Performance. For the past 20 years he has built a successful career as a personal trainer, stage actor, choreographer, model, and dancer. Eric’s teaching skills have inspired a diverse array of students and clientele, who describe his style of instruction as inviting, dynamic, passionate and gifted.
His extensive background and unique approach have been notably effective in promoting the core principles of fitness through an artistic lens. A common theme found in Eric’s philosophy is his attention to quality of movement and emphasis of efficiency over undue effort. He has shown that physical performance is optimized when a body is relaxed and fluid, thereby perfectly poised to succeed. The results of his dance and fitness programs prove that strength and grace can coexist.
Eric currently resides in Portland, Oregon where he offers continuing education to individuals, groups and associated professionals in the areas of health, fitness and dance.

Eric spends “the other half” of his life pursuing his passion for dance. He is actively involved as a choreographer and performer, working to bring his vision of dance to Portland audiences. Extensively trained in a ballet, modern, jazz, Argentine tango, West Coast Swing, and ballroom dance, Eric loves to teach beginning students and can often be found spicing up a party through group lessons and individual instruction.
